Preamble

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between you (“User”) and Solum Legacy (“Company”). By accessing or using Solum Legacy software, services, or vaults, you agree to the terms below. Solum Legacy is custodian, not owner; families retain sovereignty over their data.

1. License Grant

• Solum Legacy grants you a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the platform for personal, family, or community purposes.
• The license is limited to lawful use and subject to compliance with this Agreement.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute Solum Legacy software except as expressly permitted.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code.
• Use Solum Legacy for unlawful, harmful, or infringing purposes.
• Transfer your license to another party without consent.

3. Ownership

• Solum Legacy retains all rights, title, and interest in the software and services.
• You retain ownership of all data, artifacts, and biographies you contribute.
• This Agreement does not transfer intellectual property rights from Solum Legacy to you.

4. User Data

• You control your data at all times.
• You may delete, export, or share your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Solum Legacy does not sell or monetize user data.

5. Subscriptions

• Ancestor accounts require an active subscription.
• Community vaults may be gifted (e.g., Dunlap, TN; Belpre, OH).
• Families are not penalized if payments stop; continuity covenant ensures preservation.

6. Security & Protections

• MVP protections: SSL/TLS, MFA for ChatGPT and Notion.
• Future protections: social login + mandatory 2FA.
• Shield emblem represents both symbolic trust and operational security.

7. Termination

• You may terminate your license at any time by deleting your account.
• Solum Legacy may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement.
• Immutable artifacts (set by ancestor toggle) remain preserved even after termination.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

• Solum Legacy is provided “as is” and “as available.”
• No guarantee of uninterrupted service, error‑free operation, or compatibility with all devices.
• Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

• Solum Legacy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Liability is limited to the amount paid for your subscription in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Governing Law

• This Agreement is governed by the laws of Tennessee, United States.
• Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tennessee.

11. Updates

• Solum Legacy may update this Agreement as governance and technology evolve.
• Changes will be logged in the Ledger and communicated through the dashboard.

Closing Covenant

By accepting this Agreement, you acknowledge that Solum Legacy is custodian, not owner. Families and communities hold sovereignty over their data. The license grants use of the platform, while artifacts remain yours in perpetuity.
